The South Arkansas Regional Hospital's Educational Unit will host a week of healthcare simulations, including handwashing with glow-in-the-dark germs, practicing injection techniques, and performing intubation on a mannequin. Mindy Morgan of the Educational Unit has described this week as her favorite event of the year to introduce students to the world of nursing.

During M*A*S*H* week (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital), 18 high school students will be given the opportunity to see all aspects of healthcare thanks to the South Arkansas Regional Hospital's Educational Unit.

The purpose of this event is to introduce students to potential healthcare careers, as well as giving them to chances to participate in on-hands training and exercises.

Students will partake in a week of healthcare simulations such as handwashing with glow-in-the-dark germs, using oranges to practice injection techniques, and performing intubation on a mannequin.

Mindy Morgan of the South Arkansas Regional Hospital's Educational Unit cites this week as her favorite event of the year, as she is given the opportunity to introduce students to the world of nursing.

The event is set to take place June 11-June 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the South Arkansas Regional Hospital.
