The Root Cafe in Little Rock hosts fifth annual Farmer Trunk or Treat

Tiny superheroes, dinosaurs, princesses and more filled the parking lot of The Root Cafe for its annual Farmer Trunk or Treat event on Sunday. The Root Cafe in Little Rock, Arkansas, hosted its fifth annual Farmer Trunk or Treat event on Sunday. The event included free candy, face painting, bubble-blowing, story time and coloring stations. Guests also had a chance to meet with Arkansas farms such as Whispering Willow Farms, Rabbit Ridge Farms and Driftwood Farms. Cafe owner Jack Sundell said he's excited to create a space where people can meet with farmers directly and that sourcing local helps shorten the food chain. Other participating groups included the Arkansas Local Food Network, SoMa 501, the Dunbar Garden and the St. Joseph Center of Arkansas.
