One of the most significant laws is the elimination of the state sales tax on groceries, a significant reduction in the overall tax burden on essential items. Other laws include changes to the state’s incentive structure, incentives for businesses to relocate corporate headquarters to Arkansas, and a new sales tax identification card. New health care coverage will be required for services such as childbirth at licensed birthing centers, breast reconstruction surgeries, breastfeeding and lactation services, and genetic testing.
