Standridge and Travis Brian Standridge, were injured and taken to North Arkansas Medical Center in Harrison for treatment. The motorcycle accident occurred when Barthel's motorcycle crossed the centerline and stuck the other vehicle.

A Missouri man has died from injuries sustained in a Newton County motorcycle accident. The accident May 18th has claimed the life of 74-year-old Gary Richard Barthels of Florissant. He was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment of his injuries where he later died.

Two people in another vehicle were injured in the crash. Seventy-six-year-old Bobby D. Standridge of Hector and 51-year-old Travis Brian Standridge of Russellville were both taken to North Arkansas Medical Center in Harrison for treatment.

According to the report from the Arkansas State Police, the accident happened when Barthels’ motorcycle crossed the centerline and stuck the other vehicle.

The crash happened on Arkansas State Highway 7 near the Newton County Fairgrounds in Jasper.
